Today a - like they say in Dutch - short and powerful empowering tip.
As usual, we are talking organic.

If you want to eat something light and simple but full with great ingredients for your body, try a lettuce lamb's salad.

This one in the picture is one from MarksDailyApple  and I am also going to give them the credit for it :-)

I made this kind of salad quite often with all kinds of organic fish and I love lamb's lettuce a lot (today's smoothie was with it as greens) because of it's texture, really buttery and soft.

Also, I usually do not use the cabbage although it is a beautiful color combination - as the combination with cabbage has some unpleasant effects for me.. You can use the same color effect with red salad leaves, like "giant red mustard leaves" or "lettuce red coral" or others..

I was making this kind of salad already a long time before I read the above mentioned article but MarksDailyApple have perfected it with a wonderful sauce. You can check theirs out and it is a long article but actually quite simple if you only intend use the ingredients (and skip to them directly) and do not read all the info around them:-)

My sauce is simpler and different and if you do not want to go as far as their recipe, you can use mine.
I put in (a small) blender:
  • algae, around a handful: whatever I have in the fridge - nori, wakame, you get the picture.. I love the salted ones as they  are actually quite fresh and because of the salt they stay fresh for a longer time.. If I have the unsalted version or the dry version I add some:
  • organic pure salt (I love the pink Himalayan); a serious dash:-)
  • lemon juice - 2-3 tb. spoons;
  • a tiny bit of honey (you can do without it but I find it brings the rest of the tastes nicely together);
  • olive oil - 3-4 tb. spoons;
  • garlic - to taste.. and kiss:-)

Blend well and you'll have a great sauce for the salad which goes very well with the fish.
It is a strong one and depending on the salad quantity you will probably want to put some, mix and taste, and maybe put the rest of the sauce in the fridge for the next salad:-)

Enjoy!
