Enchantment - mixed media A1 by Ioana Blind date: Oh, Hello, is that you? Yes. Enchanting colors, dear. Thank you. Let me bite your shoulder. Who's this? You have a really great heart. A bit big, though. And it has holes. Enchanting holes. The flowers are a tif bit dry but thank you. It's because I waited so much for you. They're from last year's. My glasses are really Gaultier. Oh yeah, your boobies definitively smell nice. A few rivers passed through it. I know you now. Technique: Acrylic (and all I could find around), with metallic and flat color inks. Mama Earth A1 mixed media This is an older mixed media painting of mine. It fits today's theme as I am today so grateful for living on this amazing planet and at this time. And as we speak there is an European law prepared to regulate all our seeds and small organic crops.. It is one of those abusive laws than not many people know about (there is a similar one in USA) and that, if it goes on and becomes a full law, has the potential to destroy our world as we know it, probably forever. If there is a time for prayer, it's now. (an article about it, in Dutch, in a Belgian online newspaper) Ficroes - I am hiding, can you see me? I am hiding, can you see me? This guy manifested when I was making this little Ficroe:-) What in the world is a Ficroe? :-) A few years ago I invented this technique to "paint" with polymer clay and I really love it. I love polymer clay and all it's possibilities, and also that it lends itself to so many possibilities. I love making the beads but also these "paintings" and really, the sky is the limit to what one can make. This one is a 20x20cm and as you see, you can make insertions, you can use the colors however you want to - and the result is just strong and durable.. (ehmm, unless you let it fall - the paper is more forgiving:-) ) I would also like to add that this material is not very good for Mama Earth and I hope that "they" will soon invent something that is more eco.. Cause living "green" like it is my intention does not always match with being an artist these days and I hope from all my heart that I can someday embody both qualities at the same time - and make the art I know is possible, with only green materials (or maybe I will have to invent something myself, we'll see about that)..:-) to see more of the ficroes please go to: shining mama art Today I will only post my son's, V. drawings. They are so beautiful - maybe like all children's are, but he is mine - and well, I love them :-) Do what is doable. Start now (Leonie Dawson) As the chaos settles down again, this keeps coming back to me: "Do what is Doable. Start now." It is a quote from Leonie Dawson and whenever I feel overwhelmed and like the task is too big, like the world is too full and I should just give up, this one quote keeps the light up for me. V.'s wish for busses still has priority and maybe this "art era" in my life will be "the Bus Era" - just like a year ago it was "the Frog, the Duck and the Cat Era" :-) A3 on aquarel paper, with markers. day 18: go with the flow beads made of FIMO As things are under the spell of "do what is doable. Start now" (gorgeous Leonie Dawson) - I felt like making some more Fimo beads with this theme: go with the flow but also start swimming:-) I kinda discovered new techniques lately. I certainly do not say I am reinventing the wheel here as others use these techniques also from what I could see on the internet - but I am amazed that I discovered them on my own and gave them my own twist and only THEN found people on the internet that use these techniques:-) No matter, big minds think the same:-) And as I am studying the process of the Creation of Art, I am amazed by how some things are "found" or invented in different parts of the Earth, no matter their nature, seemingly by design :-) Love this:-) the Muse and her necklace You are so welcome to come play with me, My Muse:-) We are busy with busses and night and day and I always have time for you, to tell stories and to make for you beautiful necklaces, to draw you beautiful gowns with gold, and sky and stars and wind. I am also making you a green smoothie, My Muse. I know other people offer you wine - or whisky or other kind of dizzy making liquids. I know other people are offering you coffee or cappuccino, or the most exquisite tea:-) I'll offer you green smoothie or jus d'orange, apple and carrot juice or lemonade. Or at best, some almond milk:-) I need you, My Muse, I am humble in calling you and I know you do not want to be called for nothing. I am here, open, whisper your magic into my ear, inspire and give wings to my heart, make it beat faster and make my breath go deeper and more peaceful, bring the butterflies in my belly and make my eyes wide with wonder. I love you, too. A3 on thick sketch paper, with markers and V.'s interventions:-) chaos, you are welcome here As I thought I was getting out of it a bit, it comes back. The chaos. It is something I am not really familiar with but it is the source of everything thus I am happy that it comes to me and I can let it through.. It needs to come out, seemingly, before the real work can arise out of it. So, chaos, you are welcome here! A3 aquarel paper with markers (and V. is singing: "the wheels of the bus go round and round, round and round...") busses cars and more busses Busses, cars and a train, the sun, the moon, the stars and the clouds, night and day, a few flowers, trees and a river, as you might guess, I made this drawing for V. with him on my lap and giving the instructions:-) As I was not really aloud to have much to say about today's drawing - my client was very strict - I can also not really take the credit for today's igniting art:-) A3 on aquarel paper with markers of all kinds It is also oiled on the back to make it translucid and the colors pop out even more and blend. |
