I am so so happy and excited to tell you: it's out and ready!

Ta ta raaa taaaaa!

My (free) Shiny book of Green Smoothies is ready for download.

It's totally yours, for free.

It's based entirely on my own experience of 3 plus years drinking at least 1l green smoothie every day.

I wrote it short and to the point so that if you and/or a friend want to start with drinking green smoothies (or want to know why that would be good for you), you could read it in a day and have a strong base for whatever your decision will be, yay or nay.

Ok, I have to admit, I am slightly for Green Smoothies :-)

green smoothie today:
  • brazil nuts milk (see making milk); (soaked brazil just though I am wondering if it makes any difference);
  • 150g lamb's lettuce;
  • muchos muchos mint leaves;
  • 2 lemons (peeled and chopped - right!!);
  • 2 oranges (peeled and chopped - well, I was a bit aggressive and had to channel it)
  • lots of water, I felt very thirsty! (loved and filtered, as alwaysiz)



It was very nice and fresh..
..and than..  I messed it up..

today's green smoothie:
  • one big cucumber (sliced)
  • 2 lemons (peeled and sliced)
  • some stevia leaves (because I had plucked my stevia plant) (not enough to have a significant taste influence but I like stevia leaves aroma)
  • some mint leaves I had left
  • 3 celery sticks (cut) (also leftovers:-)
  • 150 spinach (today is market day and I did not have more than that any more)
  • ginger (2 cm)
  • water (filtered and loved)

This one is a bit more sour than usual so if you want a sweeter one, act accordingly:-)

Today's green elixir is made of:
  • cucumber 1/2 big one
  • spinach 300g 
  • spirulina 1 heaping tb. spoon;
  • 1 lemon (peeled)
  • 1 orange (peeled)
  • 1 pear with all (really soft and sweet one)
  • water (filtered and loved)
  • seeds from one pomegranate fruit.
  • some mint

Today I wanted to drink it as is. 
Loved the taste and the color.  If you do not have / add the spiruline it will be reddish-er).

When I asked today what kind of milk he wants (because I had almonds soaking over night), V. answered: "apple milk"..

Wow. haven't made that one before:-)

But because I am good at inventing recipes (see also the next blog post!!) I immediately saw in my mind what I wanted to put in it:-)

Apple milk:
  • almond milk 1.5l - look here how to make one if you need to - and than come right back for the rest of the recipe!:-);
  • bitsy bit of salt (pink Himalayan);
  • one tea spoon cinnamon;
  • one heaping spoon honey;
  • 2 bananas.. peeled:-);
  • 2 soft apples (not peeled, with seeds & all) (cut);
  • a decent piece of ginger (but not too big cause V. does not enjoy it much, something like 1.5cm cubic);
  • lecithin (1 heaping tb. spoon)

  • (super fresh!!) spinach, around 300g (it was crispy and it made a wonderful sound when the leaves caressed each other)
  • One. Big. March. Mango, YAY, you know, the ones without hairs inside:-) with peel & all (ehmm, 1 left the pit out) (while I was cutting it I ate some, so the quantity may not add)
  • mint: much, muchos mintos today coz I bought yesterday fresh mint from the market (like I put the half of a bunch)
  • 1 lemon (peeled and cut)
  • 1 orange (small, peeled and cut)
  • the water (as usual, filtered and luved)

Short, sweet and uncomplicated today.
yummy:-)

today is still a bit warm..not like yesterday (17 gr Celsius!!) but still (now 10 gr Celsius).
Tomorrow is going to rain and it seems that we will have some snow days after that and freezing.. 
My poor sweet garden flowers that thought (like I did) that the spring had arrived..

Because The Big Great Spring is here..
Because today we go to the market though 17 degrees  C!!!..
We thew in the Vitamix:
  • 1 pear (one. whole.pear. seeds, peel & all)
  • 1 orange (i peeled this one)
  • 1 apple (this one again nope, see pear)
  • 1 lemon (peeled)
  • 350g lamb's lettuce
  • ginger ( big bit)
  • some mint I had left 
  • water (peeled haha, gotcha! you actually read this!) (loved and filtered and 1 littered)


it was warm going to the Wednesday Organic farms market in The Hague, sweet.

And today i did not add any other stuff to the smoothie cause as the springs comes i feel more need of the sweet fresh taste of my green smoothies.

Anyways, if you use the first part of my smoothies recipes you will get the fresh taste..
