sleepy head kitty
I know, this picture does not exactly make you want to stretch (or wake up!) in the morning but well, somewhere on this website and in April's shine I had to have a kitty :-)
This practice is short and powerful.
In the morning, when you wake up, try to think about the day ahead with a smile on your face and anticipation.. Plan what you will do - in your head or on paper - and maybe read a few lines from an inspiring (to you!) book.
If you forget and you find yourself in front of the mirror brushing your teeth, you can do it afterwards:-)
After you brush your teeth and wash your face (with oil, right?), think (excitedly) about your day while stretching.
You can stretch anywhere you want to, just do not do it in a cupboard:-)
Stretch to the ceiling, get on your toes, hands in the direction of the ceiling.
Stretch however you want to or feel to.
Stretch your legs and your whole body, imagine yourself growing a few cm :-)
Stretch like you want to touch the ceiling.
Stretch like you want to catch the sun.
Stretch like you are from rubber.
it can be half of a minute , a few seconds or 5 minutes.
After only a few days (or one!) you will feel like you are taller. Like your shoulders want to be straighter.
Like your body says thank you.
