April's shine - day 8/30: honoring the child you were

Today an invitation to look in that dusty box of old pictures and pick up a perfect picture of the child you were. 

What made you happy? 
What were you able to do without having to eat or to sleep? 

Childhood is usually a time when we did not know time, but what was the one thing that would represent you at your most amazing shining self as a child? 
And at what age did that change? Why?

Today, a reflection on us as the amazing children we were.

PS: Today I would also like to link here a wonderful article about shining from somebody else: Andrea Scher, "The crime of outshining". It touched me deeply because I had almost precisely the same story happen to me and a few month ago it came up to me again because it was time for me to forgive and let go.
